L Co., an IT asset disposition service company, has been looking for a new way to provide higher customer satisfaction. It has been difficult for both L Co. and their potential customers, as un-wiped machines faced a risk of leaking the stored data while being transported to L Co.’s facilities.
The current system was rather inadequate, and the company wanted a new way to eliminate the data leakage concerns to serve more customers.
Secudrive offered L Co. a new strategy, from which the business and the customers can mutually benefit. Through the new strategy, L Co. stands out out from their competitors, who have been implementing the old data disposition methods. Furthermore, L Co. can eliminate the worries associated with using a service company.
Secudrive’s partnership with L Co. provides Secudrive Sanitizer Enterprise to L Co.’s customers. Thus, L Co. can create a service agreement with their customers and provide disk licenses on a regular basis. L Co. now knows how many licenses their customers will regularly need.
The customers can wipe their machines themselves before they send them to L Co. for recycling or permanent disposition. This takes risk of misplacing disks and of data theft, out of the equation as the entire process is internal. The solution is incredibly easy, and can be implemented remotely.
Not Move, Then Wipe.
As the customers are in charge of the disk wiping, all transported disks are already cleared of data, ready to be transported safely to L Co.’s facilities. The wiped disks can then be resold, recycled, or physically destroyed if necessary.
L Co. offers a discount on next year’s disk licenses if the customer decides to send L Co. the wiped disks. Customers that do not want the wiped disks will gladly send them to L Co.’s facilities where they will either be resold or recycled. The following year’s licenses are then discounted or credited, improving overall customer satisfaction through economical benefits.
